Training starts at the School of Games and the Vocational Academy for Media Professions – finally live and in color again!

After the many restrictions during the Corona pandemic, all new trainees and retrainees at bm were particularly pleased to get to know each other personally.

Over the next two to three years, they will learn together and implement many creative projects and ideas together. Friendships will be formed and connections for life will be made: an exciting day for everyone and the start of a new phase in life.

Strangers become friends

This curious and sometimes excited atmosphere was palpable among all participants on the day of the welcome and is always a great experience for the lecturers and training managers.

"Seeing a few strangers getting to know each other for the first time and knowing that in two or three years they will be celebrating their graduation together as friends is always a very special experience for us," explains Stephan Heinich, sales manager at the School of Games and the Vocational Academy, who welcomed the new participants. "We are excited to get to know you, to follow your progress and to see how interested beginners soon become real media and games professionals."
Jochen Overwien, head of the Vocational Academy for Media Professions and the School of Games, sees it the same way. In his presentation, he presented the content and processes of the training courses and gave the new participants some important advice: "You need to have fun with each other, have fun trying something new, have fun with what we and you have to offer. I wish you all the best for that."

Training with that certain something

After the welcome, the new trainees went to the respective classrooms for a get-together. There, over snacks and drinks, they got a first impression of what makes bm so special: a pleasant training atmosphere, professional equipment in the learning rooms, great cross-class projects, intensive support from the expert lecturers and, last but not least, personal support and guidance on the way to a media career: the bm Career Center, which supports the participants with advice and assistance throughout the entire training.

"We are always there for you, listen to you, share your worries and also your joys," emphasizes Andrea Stein, who runs the Career Center together with Alina Orth. "We not only spend time with you here at the bm, but also maintain contact with our former participants. We look forward to supporting you during your vocational training and finding a company that suits you."

We also wish all new trainees at the School of Games and the Vocational Academy for Media Professions as well as all those retraining a great start and a successful time at the bm. We look forward to the coming years together with many exciting moments!
